Baptism

In the book of Acts, people were baptized immediately upon having faith in Jesus Christ(Acts 2:38-41; 8:12, 36-38; 16:33; 22:16).  We follow the same pattern by not asking those who want to be baptized to wait for some later date, but rather baptize them as soon as possible after their having faith in Christ.

Baptism is an act that is based upon the faith and repentance (a changing of the mind to not sin anymore) of the one being baptized.  It is an entrance into the Gospel experience (Rom 6:3-4; 1 Cor 15:1-4)
